Bardia Kingfisher Resort is located right beside the entrance gates to Bardia National Park. For those seeking to see a real wild tiger it is a very exciting experience. We take your safety seriously though. Tigers in Nepal are wild and dangerous. We always take a minimum of two guides to walk both in front and behind you. In these photographs you can see a wonderful tiger wading through a river before going for a drink. We were there, you can be too!
Up close with One-horned Rhinoceros & Crocodiles in Bardia
At Bardia Kingfisher Resort we can practically guarantee you see rhinos and crocodiles. We are located in the best location for rhinos who like to bathe in our rivers and crocodiles who like to sit out in the sun. We have canoes that we can take you out on the river on. However, we don’t pass by the rhinos as their movements are unpredictable. We do however paddle by many crocodiles and yes, we give you lots of warning to keep your hands inside the boat! You can also view these magnificent wild creatures from further away if you feel more comfortable.

While the number wild animals in Bardia may seem low they are increasing. Bardia’s remote location also means there’s a much higher likelihood of spotting animals in the wild here than anywhere else in Nepal!

At Bardia Kingfisher Resort we host many bird watching enthusiasts who come for the areas rare and extensive selection of birds. From Little Herons, Yellow Bittern, lack Ibis, Woodpeckers, Cuckoos, Dusky Eagle Owls and over 400 more. Some of the rarest birds can be seen right from your own room at Kingfisher Resort!
